2015 is off to a slow start and I am enjoying the pace. Ty & I spent an evening with friends, followed by a restful day huddled on the sofa watching college football in between taking dips in the hot tub and reading. It was a great way to enjoy the first day of the year. How did you spend your day? I hope you were also able to ease into the year. Fall Home Tour 2014

The cool weather has finally reached Nashville so I took today to fully embrace the season. I switched out the bright colors of summer for the muted oranges and greens of autumn. I like to bring the outdoors in for fall so I rounded up all of the mock oranges in our yard to start. I also like to layer the chairs with throws for added warmth.

We attended a wonderful party this New Years hosted by our fabulous friends Andrew and Jessica Smith. I wish I had my camera so I could pay proper homage to her wonderful decor, but I couldn't resist snapping a few iPhone pics so y'all could see how swanky this cocktail party really was.

One of my favorite party attributes was a popcorn snack station... Complete with framed instructions to snatch, scoop, sprinkle, shake, and savor!

... She even had handmade party favors wishing each guest Fortune... Represented by a fortune cookie... Wealth, a gold chocolate coin, and health by an emergency vitamin C packet (which, I might add, came in handy this morning!)
