A Look at our Home Post-Move

All of our stuff made it a mere 3 miles down the road to our new home. We are so enjoying the quietness of our new space and arranging our things in this house. Here is a look at our post-move progress before the painters sweep in and transform the space. I am trying out a bunch of different paints so you will notice various paint splotches on the walls (more on that in a later post!)

As you can see, there is still a lot of work to do but we are so pleased with our progress in only a week's time. Next up is a rather large painting project (remember, this one and this one and this one in our last house?) and a new bed to come in our master bedroom. We are so excited to make this house a home, and so grateful that you are coming along on our next big adventure!

Celebrating Year One in Our Home By The Creek

We love celebrating, and coming to the end of our first year in our first home is a great excuse!

This time last year we said goodbye to our condo in our beloved Sylvan Park,

closed on our FIRST HOME,

and with a LOT of help from friends, we moved into our home by the creek....

all in one day!!

Moving Day Progress

Move in day has come and gone, and we are settling in nicely at our new home. 

Three house guests and one point five weeks later we have already accomplished many smaller to-do's, 

but the most dramatic change came on day #2 after we finished unpacking boxes...

We are so incredibly blessed to have literally moved everything we own 
in less than 5 hours with the help of our friends.

Picking the Perfect Fixer Upper

Welcome to our home by the creek!

She's a beaut in need of love!  Thank goodness for air travel and shortcuts or 

we would have not found this great home! 

We found our lovely abode after picking up two friends from the airport 

who then showed us a back way to their house. 

Now we will be their neighbors, and proud homeowners! 

This house is a typical 1950s brick ranch home.

It meets ALL of our Criteria!

Around 1600 sq. ft ........................ 1740 sq. ft. on a gorgeous 1 acre lot with a creek in the backyard

Brick Exterior................................ CHECK! (although in desperate need of a paint job)

Within the budget......................... DOUBLE CHECK!

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (3/2)...... Yep!

Located in our top 3 areas............ Alright!

Needs Updating...no Major Reno (like an addition!).... YES!
