Shopping for the Perfect Office Desk

We are currently on the hunt for right desk for the right price for the office. We have been using our kitchen table from our first house as the office desk for the past year and half. It served us well in our last house when it was the centerpiece of the room, but in this shared office/bedroom the desk is WAY too big. We are looking for something with modern lines & slightly rustic feel to complete the space. Here are some of the desks are considering:

1. World Market's Josephine Desk
This desk is still in the running. I would pair it with a ghost chair or metal chair like this one to add a rustic feel.

I  really liked the drawers and the bright white and clean lines of this desk, but when we saw it in person the size seemed a bit small. Then, we checked out Ikea's Malm Desk with a pull out panel. We liked that one too but I worried about not having any drawers for storage.

It's on wheels! Enough said. I love the mobility and the modern lines.

Simple. Modern Lines. Drawer for Storage. Right size. Higher Pricepoint

5. West Elm's MidCentury Desk
I love this desk. My only complaint is the price. We have been shopping around for something similar at a lesser price point, and have come up empty handed. There are several other desks we liked at this price point: this onethis one, and this one, but we are not quite sure we are ready to spring for them yet.

6. Ikea's Alex Desk
This desk is similar to the Micke but is larger in size. The only issue is that shipping is almost the cost of the desk and it was sold out at Ikea Atlanta during our last trip. I love the modern lines, the two drawer storage and the size.

Have you guys been searching for just the right furniture piece?
What is it? Come across any desks you just LOVE? Please share!
