Our Search for the Perfect Console Table

The room off the kitchen is a space we have been able to define better now that we live in the house. In fact, it is one of the most gorgeous rooms in the house with all of the windows letting in lots of natural light. We also noticed that we hardly use the front door and so our "landing spot" for all of our clutter is here too. With that said, we needed to create a space that was functional, comfortable (and of course stylish!) for the main entrance to our home.

As seen in Oh what a Difference A Day Makes

We created a neutral pallet by painting the room Mindful Grey like the rest of the house.

Although we thought the armoire was pretty, it was not particularly functional. After trying out some serious FAILS in terms of functional and attractive spaces...

Too Cluttered...

Too Small...

...we began to search for a console table that was JUST RIGHT.
In all of our thrifting, we stumbled upon this gem which fits this rather large space perfectly.

Just right!

We now have a place for our keys, sunglasses, pocket change, etc to land when we come home.

This piece also functions as a buffet when we have guests, and a storage spot for silver and glassware.

Now we have a practical and pretty landing spot for all of our clutter!

Have you guys had any good thrift store/garage/yard sale finds lately?!
