One of my favorite new additions to our home are these two succulent and cacti mixed plants which I found on clearance at Kroger. They were nearly dead when I purchased them, but for a whopping $5 for two vases I took the gamble. A little water and a few days in the natural light and they are looking great.
My main motivation for the purchase of these plants is keeping our cats safe. We recently had an experience with lilies (and I don't mean our kitten, Lilli) that left me nervous about having any "real" plants in the house. Here is a more inclusive list from the ASPCA on non-toxic plants for pets.
